The Rademeyer business legacy in Port Elizabeth was originally started by Pieter Rademeyer Snr's father, who in the early 1900's managed his local dairy from 18 Pickering Street (now Elizabeth Place).

In 1966 Grandfather Rademeyer was elected Mayor of Port Elizabeth and he served the community until 1968. His son Pieter Rademeyer (snr) grew up in 18 Pickering Street and for years ran the well known and successful, Rademeyer Plumbers, from these premises.

Pieter Rademeyer (jnr), third generation and owner of Elizabeth Place, converted the Pickering Street family home into the exclusive 'Elizabeth Place,' naming the venue in honor of his mother.

Pieter jnr's twin brother Jaco is the owner of Jaco Rademeyer Estates.
Pieter Rademeyer (Jnr) and Elizabeth Place is a continuance of the Rademeyer's tradition of business service, excellence and quality.

Elizabeth Place is a physical expression of its owner's passion. Pieter(Jnr) a teacher by profession loves people, events and performing. He was rated by the TV programme,'Geraas" as one of the top 5 Afrikaans vocalists in the country and he is a 3 time Crescendo finalist.
